Formal composition

Point-type glass curtain wall is a new support method. The point glass curtain wall is called the metal supporting structure point glass curtain wall. Once it appeared, it developed rapidly in the city.

According to the different ways of supporting structure, the point-type glass curtain wall can be divided into the following types in form:

(1) Point-type glass curtain wall with metal supporting structure. This is the most widely used form. It uses metal materials as a supporting structure system, and the glass is firmly fixed on it through metal connectors and fasteners, which is very safe and reliable. Making full use of the flexibility of the metal structure to meet the needs of architectural modeling, people can clearly see the entire structural system supporting the glass through the glass. The crystal clear glass and the firmness of the metal structure are the embodiment of "beauty" and "power". The effect of contrast between "virtual" and "real" is enhanced.

(2) Point-type glass curtain wall with all-glass structure. It connects the glass supporting structure (glass ribs) and the face glass into a whole through metal connectors and fasteners to form a building envelope structure. The construction is simple and the cost is low. The glass surface and ribs form an open field of vision, which is pleasing to the eye. The indoor and outdoor spaces of the building achieve the greatest visual blending.

(3) Point-type glass curtain wall with tie rod (cable) structure. It adopts stainless steel tie rods or uses cables corresponding to the glass splits to make the supporting structure of the curtain wall. The glass is fixed to it by metal connectors. In the construction, the precision of the mechanical processing is sufficient, so that the components are all tension rods. Therefore, the construction must be pre-stressed. This kind of soft connection can reduce the damage rate of the glass during vibration.

Component

(1) Support system. The supporting system directly transmits the various loads on the surface glass to the main building structure. Therefore, it is the main force-bearing component, and the structural form and material are generally based on the size of the load and the building shape, such as glass ribs, stainless steel columns, aluminum profile columns or steel frame with appropriate anti-corrosion and surface treatment. Steel column and stainless steel tie rod (cable), etc.

(2) Metal connectors. The metal connecting piece includes a fixing piece (commonly known as a claw base and a claw) and a fastener. The fixing parts are usually cast from stainless ordinary steel, while the fasteners are stainless steel machined parts. Considering the compatibility of metals, the claw base must be made of the same material as the supporting system, or be mechanically fixed. Metal connectors are the essence of point-based construction technology. It fixes the face glass on the supporting structure not only to generate additional stress on the edge of the glass hole, but also to allow a small amount of displacement to adjust the construction error caused by the building installation, and also has shock absorption measures to improve the seismic capacity, so it is considered in the design There are many factors. The metal connector also produces a significant decorative effect, so in addition to meeting the functional requirements, it also has a beautiful design and fine processing and manufacturing, which plays the role of "the finishing touch".

(3) Glass. The glass used in the point-type glass curtain wall of the building reduces the strength of the glass at the edge of the hole by about 30% due to drilling. Therefore, the point-type glass curtain wall of the building must be made of high-strength tempered glass (the impact strength of tempered glass is 3% of float glass). -5 times, the bending strength is 2-5 times that of float glass) Note, another important feature of tempered glass is safe to use. When it encounters a large external force and is damaged, it will produce small fragments without acute angles, which is not easy to hurt people.
